PU Prime launches XAUUSD247 with seven-day gold CFD trading

PU Prime has added XAUUSD247 to its MT5 server, offering 24-hour trading seven days a week. The longer schedule also raises questions about weekend pricing, liquidity and execution.

PU Prime has introduced XAUUSD247 on its MetaTrader 5 server, extending access to a gold contract for difference to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The broker's product notice says the instrument became available on 7 August 2026. The change expands the platform's trading schedule beyond the conventional working week, but it does not mean the underlying global spot or futures markets themselves now trade continuously all weekend.

What the announcement confirms

PU Prime's notice describes XAUUSD247 as a continuously tradable gold product on MT5 and says the schedule is shown in GMT+3 server time. It also warns that specifications may change and that customers should refer to the instrument details displayed in MT5.

A 7 August GlobeNewswire release carried by Deutsche Börse also describes the instrument as a gold CFD available through the weekend. Neither public page provides a complete schedule of weekend spreads, liquidity sources, financing charges, trading halts or abnormal-market procedures.

XAUUSD247 is an over-the-counter derivative supplied by the broker. It is not ownership of physical bullion and it is not the same contract as an exchange-traded gold future. Pricing, margin, execution and counterparty arrangements depend on the contracting entity, account type and platform specification.

What changes when trading extends into the weekend

Gold normally benefits from deep global liquidity during the working week, with brief pauses around daily settlement or maintenance. Weekend access can give customers a way to manage an existing exposure when geopolitical, policy or other significant news breaks on a Saturday or Sunday. It can also place them in a pricing environment that is not synchronised with the main spot and futures benchmarks.

When the principal reference markets are closed, fewer live transactions are available for price discovery. A broker may rely on internal risk models, market-maker quotes or other reference feeds to keep an instrument available. Spreads, executable size, gaps, slippage and rejected orders can therefore behave differently from active weekday sessions. PU Prime's short announcement does not disclose all of these mechanics, so “24/7” alone is not enough to assess trading cost or execution quality.

Checks traders should make

Before placing an order, customers should inspect the MT5 contract specification and establish whether weekend sessions use different spreads, tick sizes, margin rates, position limits, stop distances or order restrictions. They should also check how financing accrues, when maintenance takes place and how a weekend position transitions when the main market becomes active again on Monday.

Customers should confirm the legal entity they contract with and the jurisdiction that applies. PU Prime's official page states that PU Prime Limited is regulated by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority under licence SD050. The brand may serve different regions through different entities, so product availability and customer protections should not be assumed to be identical everywhere.

What it means for brokers

Always-open digital-asset markets have changed some retail traders' expectations about access. Extending a gold CFD into the weekend is one attempt by a multi-asset broker to narrow the timing gap between traditional and round-the-clock markets. For a broker, however, this requires more than leaving an order screen open: weekend pricing, hedging, liquidity management, technical monitoring and customer disclosure all need to function together.

If more firms follow, the useful comparison will not be limited to whether weekend trading is available. Actual spreads, fill rates, slippage, abnormal-price handling and client-protection arrangements outside core market hours will matter more.

TraderVote view

XAUUSD247 expands the hours in which a gold CFD can be traded, but longer availability does not automatically mean better prices or lower risk. With major benchmark markets closed, weekend price discovery and hedging may be more complex. Traders should assess “available to trade” separately from “deep liquidity and stable cost.”

TraderVote will continue to watch for fuller contract specifications, entity-level availability and additional disclosures about weekend execution.
