AscendEX claims portal remains unconfirmed: separating suspended withdrawals from an admitted claim

AscendEX targeted 5 September for its customer balance and claims portal and had said another update would arrive by 6 September. Its two official pages still showed the 22 August notice when checked on 7 September.

At 11:17 UTC on 7 September 2026, AscendEX's website and its designated announcement site still displayed the customer-claims notice dated 22 August. Neither page publicly confirmed that the portal had launched or announced a revised date. AscendEX had targeted 5 September for the initial launch, while an earlier notice said its next update would be published no later than 6 September.

This does not establish that the portal has permanently failed. AscendEX expressly described 5 September as an estimate that could move because of technical, security or legal work. However, with normal operations and customer withdrawals already suspended, the lack of a public status update after the target dates is material information for customers to monitor.

What the platform has confirmed

AscendEX says normal operations and customer withdrawals have been suspended since 1 July. Automated withdrawals are paused and requests require manual review. It attributes the suspension to regulatory, financial and operational pressures and the failure of a proposed recapitalisation transaction.

The company says account records and remaining digital assets are preserved under its control, but it cannot give a withdrawal timetable or promise full repayment of all customer balances. Management says it is exploring rescue and recapitalisation while preparing for a possible formal insolvency process.

Those are company statements. The public materials reviewed do not include an independently audited balance sheet, a verified customer-asset shortfall, an admitted-claims total or a court filing showing that formal insolvency has begun. A possible insolvency process must not be reported as an existing court process, and suspended withdrawals do not by themselves prove fraud or theft.

A displayed balance is not an admitted claim

The planned portal is intended to let eligible users view recorded balances, register account information, submit claims and provide documents. AscendEX cautions that displaying a balance or accepting a submission does not admit the claim, determine its legal status or priority, or guarantee recovery timing or amount.

For customers, the contractual entity, custody structure, segregation of assets, governing law, evidence submitted and any administrator or court decision may all affect the eventual outcome.

What customers should preserve

Customers should retain account terms, complete account and KYC records, balances, trade and transfer histories, wallet addresses and transaction hashes, support tickets, emails and chats. Screenshots should capture the date, URL and account identifier, while important files should be kept in their original format.

AscendEX says the official process will not ask for an additional deposit, an unlocking fee, passwords or private keys. Messages claiming priority withdrawal or paid claim recovery should be independently checked, and users should enter ascendex.com manually.

The important new fact is not a fresh repayment promise: the proposed portal and update dates have passed without public confirmation on the official pages reviewed. Customers should treat a recorded balance, acceptance of documents, admission of a claim and final distribution as four separate stages and preserve evidence at each one.
